- Low quality tiles will chip and crack - Can be very slippery - Grout lines can be difficult to clean - Tile color can vary by batch - Not ideal for outdoor installations - Feel cold to the touch in the winter - Very little foot support

Ceramic tile is very versatile. It can be installed in a wide variety of patterns with different borders and inlays. Ceramic tile is ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms. Tile is very popular flooring option in the southwestern United States and other warmer climates. In colder climates, ceramic tile can be very cold in the winter. A radiant heat system can be installed under bathroom tile if necessary. Before purchasing any floor tiles, make sure that the wear rating can handle moderate to heavy foot traffic.
